Steve Gadd is a drummer than needs no introduction. Exploding onto the scene in the 1970’s with an innovative playing style that fused a rudimental touch with highly musical compositional skills, Steve quickly became one of the most influential, in-demand and imitated drummers in the world. Steve has worked with a virtual who’s who list of musicians, from Chick Corea and Return and Forever to Steely Dan, Stuff, Al DiMeola, George Benson, Bob James, Stanley Clarke, Joe Cocker, Maynard Ferguson, Roberta Flack, Jim Hall, Paul Simon, Eric Clapton…the list goes on (and on, and on…).

Beyond the discography, Steve and Hudson Music share a long history of producing educational content together. From DCI’s 1983 release Up Close, the first instructional drum videos in history (produced by Hudson Music founder Rob Wallis), to his lesson packs for Drum Guru, Steve has worked with Rob Wallis and Hudson Music to share his knowledge and inspiration with generations of drummers.
