Drum Guru is a new way to learn from the worlds top drummers and educators. Conceived by Rob Wallis, founder of Hudson Music and DCI Music Video, and longtime President of Drummers Collective School of Music in New York City, Drum Guru gives you a wide selection of musical styles to learn from that are suited to various levels ofexperience on the drums.
This sampler pack will give you a taste of the lessons Drum Guru has to offer. We have chosen a sampling of some of the grooves and fills available in our lesson packs. In this pack, your teachers will be legendary drummers Steve Smith, Steve Gadd, Peter Erskine, Chad Smith, Mike Portnoy, and Aaron Spears, along with drummer/educator Joe Bergamini. After viewing each lesson, don’t forget to switch to practice mode and try all of the available features. These features include the ability to change the tempo, turn to click on and off, turn the practice example on off, and more—and all the features were designed by professional drummers for real practice, so that you can play along.
Note about difficulty level: Our lessons are designed for drummers of all levels. The lessons in our “beginner” packs are designed for someone who’s just starting on the drums. If you are a bit more advanced, just look for the lesson packs without “beginner” in the title. There are packs at every level of difficulty, and keep in mind that even advanced players can benefit from basic lessons!
