The solos and fill-ins in this book are based upon Buddy Rich’s interpretation of jazz and rock, and some are excerpts from his recordings. The book has been designed so the concepts can be used in any style and in any time signature. Many of Buddy’s fills and solos are at high level of difficulty, but the exercises in the book have been designed in a progressive, step-by-step manner to enable the drummer to execute them in any tempo, making them accessible to all levels of players.
