Aaron Spears Shoot – Wrap!

Shooting just wrapped on the production for the upcoming Aaron Spears DVD. A great couple days in the studio with Aaron, special guest Jojo Mayer, and the whole Hudson crew. 

On hand were co-owners Paul Siegel and Rob Wallis, senior editor Joe Bergamini and web manager Mike Hoff, as well as TIP Coordinator Mike Sorrentino. Aaron’s videographer, Gene Setzer, captured tons of great behind the scenes footage and interviews, while our transcriber and engraver, Willie Rose, was on hand to experience the fury of Aaron’s fills that he’ll be charged with transcribing (good luck, Willie!).

Veteran crew members Greg McKean (associate producer) and Sean McClintock (audio engineer) ran a smooth session and kept everything going to tape looking – and sounding – fantastic. Staff Photographer Andrew Lepley captured hundreds of great shots all week long, as well.

Aaron’s playing was, of course, fantastic. While it seems that everyone always talks about his fills (which are furious, amazing and mind-blowing), his groove, feel and timing are equally as impressive, if not more so. Aaron also demonstrated an incredible level of maturity and intelligence when fielding questions from the in-studio audience, as well as during his discussions with special guest Jojo Mayer. On top of all the playing and discussion, Aaron kept everyone entertained with his terrific sense of humor, keeping the mood on the shoot light and loads of fun.
