2024-2025 Prescribed Music List
Hudson Music is pleased to present a number of titles that have been selected as part of the 2024-2025 UIL Prescribed Music List. The University Interscholastic League (UIL) is a governing body that organizes and supervises extracurricular activities for public school students in Texas. Selections from the UIL List can be performed as part of the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest.
On this page we have included the titles from our catalog the UIL has approved, as well as links to purchase these titles from our website. Each of these titles are available as an instant delivery digital book, and some are also available in traditional print format – we have noted which formats are available for each title.
Digital Purchases, Copies and Permission
UIL representatives have confirmed that for the performer, use of a digital copy on their device for non-memorized performances is authorized and acceptable (ie, tablet or iPad). For digital purchases of titles on the UIL List, we have enabled printing from our web browser book reader. This will enable you to print single-use copies for performance and adjudication. Once you have made your purchase and access the title from within our book reader here at HudsonMusic.com, you will be able to print selected pages from within the book.Â
In addition, the UIL requires a letter of permission from the publisher granting permission to use a copyright compliant copy for performance or adjudication. Hudson Music will provide this letter for any title purchased, but you must request the letter using the form found on this page (click here to jump to the copyright permission form). Please note that a separate permission request must be made for each performance instance.
