TIP Newsletter March 2010

Hi Everyone! As the east coast of the United States continues to get dumped on by a never ending series of storms, I have some cool TIP happenings to tell you about.

On April 11th, Hudson Music’s TIP and the Drummer’s Collective in New York City will team up to provide a full day teaching seminar. Many aspects of teaching will be covered, ranging from how to teach beginners to using multimedia, to a lesson on the real Gladstone technique by none other than Arnie Lang himself.  Other speakers include Dom Famularo,  Tommy Igoe,  Peter Retzlaff,  Jason Gianni,  Jeff Salem and more. Seating is limited, and almost sold out.  Click here for more information.

We have some great articles this month:

A Teacher Spotlight on Brazil’s Daniel Oliveira

Brant Parson’s Getting Motor-vated

Scott Thompson on teaching Drumset and Music in China

I have been contacted by several people organizing camps, trips and lectures to help people study drumming in other countries and to raise the standard of teaching in our industry.  Check out these two opportunities you might be interested in:
