The Changing Roles of The Drum Teacher
June 12, 2009As we enter this new modern age, it seems that the roles we play in everyday life are becoming more and more integrated. For years parents have been part time drivers, nurses, cooks, housekeepers, etc. In the workplace, just about every job requires that an employee become part time computer programmer. The term multitasking no longer means doing two things at once, It now refers to juggling five or six tasks, and helping someone else out at the same time! Making The Most of Your Practice Time
April 1, 2009You put a lot of time, effort, and expense into learning to play the best that you can. And you know that the best way to get even better is the same way you get to Carnegie Hall (at least according to the old joke)-practice, practice, practice. But, bad practice is not much better than no practice at all. Make all your hard work pay off by practicing smart. Don’t just log in long hours of unfocused and unproductive flailing.
