The book features combined materials from many of Henrique’s teachers, including some of the legends of drumming such as Alan Dawson, Gary Chaffee, Jim Chapin, John Ramsay, Dr. John Wooton, and the great Freddie Gruber. Also included here some of the author’s own creations, developments and concepts learned from studying and teaching the hand techniques of masters such as Joe Morello, Buddy Rich, Louis Bellson, Billy Cobham, Tony Williams, Vinnie Colaiuta, Steve Smith, Dave Weckl, Peter Erskine, Danny Gottlieb, and Steve Gadd among many others. The creation of the exercises and concepts was caused by the need to have a very organized practice routine that not only worked for the author, but also for his students as well. The materials presented here are extremely useful and most importantly, musically applicable.
