Students are challenged to write in their own grooves, in workbook fashion, gradually assembling a written collection of their work.
The advanced sections express linear concepts across the kit, as they apply to time playing, reading figures, and improvising solos.
The book culminates with what Vosbein names Linear Matrixing, a virtually endless way to musically apply variations.
