The 14th Annual Celebration of drums, percussion and the music that connects us all comes home to Montréal, July 30 through August 2, 2009, to help us celebrate the Grand Opening of the brand new KoSA Centre for the Arts.
Featuring a spectacular group of talented artists, the KoSA Faculty promises to turn KoSA 2009 into another life-changing year of learning, growing and one-of-a-kind live performances. Located just minutes from Downtown Montreal, and a short walk from this international city’s convenient underground mass transit system (The Metro – Vendome Station), KoSA 2009 promises to have several surprises in store.
KOSA is pleased and proud of each member of this exceptional faculty, but would be remiss in our great joy in welcoming Cuba’s Giraldo Piloto. Leader of the internationally renown Cuban band Klimax, “Piloto” is more than a drum and roots percussion master, he (like many of the KoSA Artist Faculty) is a composer arranger, and will lead students into recognizing not just the drummer and percussionist’s place in the “big picture”, but the big picture itself!
