Since his breakout gig with rapper Common, which led to work with Q-Tip, Mark Colenburg has worked with Kenny Garrett, Stefon Harris, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Mos Def, Amel Larrieux, Lalah Hathaway, Amos Lee, Maxwell, A Tribe Called Quest, and others.
Colenburg is also a Grammy Award Nominee with the Robert Glasper Experiment for “Best R&B Album” (Black Radio II) and a Grammy Award-winning drummer for “Best Traditional R&B Performance” (“Jesus Children” with Robert Glasper Experiment featuring Lalah Hathaway and Malcolm-Jamal Warner).
