How do I use the app?

What are the requirements to use the Hudson Music app?

  • Our apps are compatible with most recent iOS and Android devices. We recommend having the latest OS version installed on your device. We also offer a web browser-based book reader at HudsonMusic.com that is accessible from any device (free account required for access). Our web browser based reader is identical in look and function to our app-based readers in every way.
  • An active internet connection is required to load, view and interact with our digital books. This permits us to keep the file sizes small on your device, as well as delivering the most up-to-date versions of books, audio and video.

My Bookshelf is empty. How can I view my books?

  • If you purchased your books from HudsonMusic.com, please tap Account, then login using your HudsonMusic.com account credentials.
  • If you purchased your books using in-app purchase inside our app, previously purchased books will automatically be available on your Bookshelf (for iOS devices only, you may need to tap the Restore button to populate your bookshelf). Please note, in order to restore in-app purchases, you must be signed in to the same Apple Store or Google Play account originally used to make your purchases.
  • If you purchased your books from HudsonMusic.com AND using in-app purchase, follow both steps above to load all available books to your bookshelf.

I purchased books using in-app purchase on my Apple/Android device. How can I view them on my computer or other devices?

We now offer the ability to sync your in-app purchases with your HudsonMusic.com account so they can be viewed across all devices. To access your in-app purchases on other devices, please follow these steps:

  • In order to sync in-app purchases, you must be signed in on your device to the same Apple Store or Google Play account originally used to make your purchases.
  • In the Hudson Music app on your device, tap Account, then login using your HudsonMusic.com account credentials. If you do not have an existing HudsonMusic.com account, you can register for an account for free within the app – just tap “Register”. Once you complete registration, login to your HudsonMusic.com account.
  • Once you are logged in to your HudsonMusic.com account, tap Bookshelf – you should see your previous in-app purchases appear on this screen (for iOS devices only, you may need to tap the Restore button to populate your bookshelf). .
  • Now your in-app purchases have been sync’d and saved to your account at Hudson Music. You should be able to login to your Hudson Music account on our website or any supported iOS or Android device to load and view your purchased books.

I am not able to login to my account.

From the Account screen, tap Reset Password. A password reset email will be sent to the information on file for your account.

How do I delete my account?

To delete your Hudson Music account, please use the form below and select “Delete My Account” as the Reason for Contact. We will process your request and notify once completed.

I received an error message when trying to view a book.

How do I access audio or video that is included with my book?

Our audio and video media is embedded directly within the books. To start playback, look for the appropriate icon for audio or video on the page, and tap it. Playback will start directly within the app. Our video player includes all standard controls for playback. Our improved audio player includes new playback tools to play, pause, adjust speed, loop, and scrub playback position for audio while playing. You will also be able to turn pages while audio playback continues, which is useful with charts or exercises that might span multiple pages.

Does the app support page turning devices?

YES! The latest version of our book reader apps support wireless bluetooth page turn devices. Follow the instructions to pair your page turner with your device, and it should automatically work within our book reader app. While we do not offer a list of supported page turn devices, we have tested a number of available options that work and so far have not found any that are incompatible.
