Fundamentals of the Blues

In this pack, Ivan Bodley introduces you to the blues. You’ll learn the basic blues chord changes and some great bass patterns to play over them. This pack is suited for beginning players or players new to the blues.

In this pack, Ivan Bodley introduces you to the blues. He goes over the basic blues form, basic blues feel, and three very common and handy blues bass lines. All of the examples in this pack are in the key of G but the patterns and forms will work in any key. As you get comfortable with each example, turn off the bass in Practice Mode and see if you can play the pattern with the drums in a different key.
